Quality and Care:
Tang and Timber custom handles are hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind items and often have slight size variations, colorations, and other aesthetic qualities that are part of their individual appeal.
Please treat your new handle well and follow our recommended care instructions when handling.
Care Instructions:
- Hand wash only. Never submerge the handle in water or in the dishwasher.
- Wipe gently with a damp cloth and mild soap if needed. Avoid soaking or scrubbing.
- Dry immediately with a soft towel to prevent moisture absorption.
- Keep in a dry place. Avoid storing in humid environments.
- Avoid direct sunlight, which can cause fading or warping over time.
- Oil once a month or when wood looks dry, with food-safe mineral oil, tung oil, or a beeswax blend. This helps maintain luster and prevents drying. I recommend Odies oil! Apply, let sit for 10-15 minutes then wipe away excess.
Avoid:
Extreme heat, extreme cold, harsh chemicals, cleaners or alcohol based cleaners, dishwashers and leaving the knife wet.
Returns
We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To start a return, please contact us within 14 days of the date of delivery at:

All returned items must be in the original condition and in the complete original packaging in order to be accepted and credited.
If there are signs of misuse, or if there is other post-purchase damage to the product, we reserve the right to refuse your return and refund.
Returns are accepted on the purchase price of new and unused items, within 14 days of the delivery date. Refunds will be applied to the original method of payment.
Shipping costs and transaction fees are not refundable. If free shipping was used, the original shipping costs will be deducted from the refund value.
Knife handles cannot be used or altered, in any capacity, for a full refund to be accepted.
Return shipping is at the buyer's expense. Please use a trackable shipping service and consider purchasing shipping insurance.
Customers have the option to insure/require a signature for their packages at checkout, therefore we are not responsible for replacing lost, stolen, or damaged products during shipment caused by the courier.
Final Sale Items
Sale items and reduced priced items are final sale, with no refunds.
Custom orders, unless determined to be defective, are final sale, with no refunds.
